A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another as I have loved you....By this shall all men know ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35

And God Said No....

I asked God to take away my pride.
And God said "No".
He said it was not for Him to take away, but for me to give up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
And God said "No".
He said her spirit is whole. Her body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.
And God said "No".
He said that patience is a byproduct of tribulation. It isn't granted, it's earned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
And God said "No".
He said He gives blessings; happiness is up to me.

I asked God to spare me pain.
And God said "No".
He said, "Suffering draws you apart from the worldly cares, and brings you closer to me."

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
And God said "No".
He said I must grow on my own, but he will prune me to make me fruitful.

I asked God to help me love others as much as He loves me.
And God said, "Ah, finally. You have the idea".

WHAT IS A FRIEND?

A FRIEND IS SOMEONE YOU ARE.....

~F...free to be yourself with, just the way you are
~R...ready to tell your most private thoughts to.
~I...inspired by when you are feeling down.
~E...eager to listen to as well as talk to.
~N...never going to forget no matter what.
~D...dependent on for advice and support.

~WHY GOD GAVE US FRIENDS~

God knew that there would be some times we'd need a helping hand
Someone to share our pain with and they would understand

He knew we'd have some rough times when we'd seem to lose our way
We'd need someone to help us out and tell us.....it's ok

Of course there'd be some good times too, with victories to relate
We'd want someone to tell them to and have them say......that's great

He knew whatever came our way, the joys and sorrows too
We'd need some one to laugh or cry with,
so He made dear friends like you.

A friend is Gods' special way of saying....."I love you". He gives them to us when we least expect them. But usually at a time when we most need them! Sometimes, we don't know how or why we met our friend but, God had a very special reason in mind! All we know is that we are very glad He did!

Let that special someone know that you are glad to be able to call him or her friend.
